Animation - Flour Sack and Wine
This is my final Animation exercise at Sheridan year 1. It was the good ol' classic flour sack exercise. We had to pick a prop off a list on the board and animate our Sack interacting with it. I chose Wine... because I could relate. :)
This animation was partly inspired by my trip to the Yarra Valley near Melbourne Australia, where I first got a chance to see some awesome vineyards up close and personal. This is where a good family friend, Aaron Skovell, being a professional, gave us a very informative tour. To be frank I think we went to 4... 5, no wait, 6, vineyards? Yes... you can see where this is going!
The stack of paper for this animation was pretty massive. I was supposed to do only 15 seconds, but finally I ended up pushing 30 seconds. In case you're curious, here's the amount of paper:

Even with ALL that... I didn't finish what I wanted to do! So the ending is just a pose test of what would have happened. I promised myself that I would finish it over the summer. We'll see if that happens!
Enjoy!
And as always, some cute stills.

Animation - Cat Bot - Section Animation
So far Animation class, one of our last projects was to animate a section of the Pose Test that we did for Character Design. You can find my Pose Test in an earlier post here:
http://tinanawrocki.blogspot.ca/2014/02/character-design-pose-test-cat-bot.html
I chose the section where he gets hit in the head! If I have more time this summer, I will animate the rest of it, because I had a lot of fun!
Enjoy! Classical 2d Animation on paper!
And my favorite still! ^_^

Caricatures - La BKRY - Natasha's Graduation!
A while ago I posted my Logo/Caricature of Natasha Bouchard's "La BKRY" character!
http://tinanawrocki.blogspot.ca/2014/01/la-bkry-logo-highlights-of-2013.html
Now, after 6 months of crazy intense learning/work, she finally graduated from the Christian Faure school of Patisserie, and comissioned this lovely new cariacture sporting her hard-won chef's whites!
A lovely client as always, I'm so proud of her and had a great time drawing this!

New lovely commission delivered to a new customer from my Etsy Shop! :D

Animation - Snow Leopard Walk
Finally got around to finishing this up! Here is my Snow Leopard walk cycle for Animation. All done on paper.
The most challenging part was animating his spots. I had one failed attempt before my teacher, Blair Kitchen, suggested I animate a grid on his skin first, to then map out his spots. That worked a lot better - still was a challenge!
If you want to see my research work you can find it here:

Animation - Alice
And finally "Alice" is DONE! It took soooooo long! First time I got to animate one of my pinup designs!
All animated in Flash - frame by frame - then edited in After Effects and Premier. This short film was a project for my Digital Tools class at Sheridan.
The song is "Some Like it Hot" by Marilyn Monroe - which I DO NOT own the rights to.
If you want to look at my concept work for this, way back from January, take a look:

Here it is! Enjoy!

Azula as Medea - War Propaganda Poster
For my "Heroes in Modern and Ancient Myth" class we were to chose between two mythological characters, Medea or Jason, and compare and contrast them with a "modern" hero.
I chose Azula, from one of my favorite animated series "Avatar: The Last Airbender". I'm comparing her with Medea, for obvious reasons. We got to chose if we wanted to have an "art" component to our analysis so I chose to draw a War Propaganda Poster - something that might have circulated if Azula had won the War and become Fire Lord.
I had a lot of fun with this! Flash and Photoshop.

Pinups - Gaby
Here is another one of my early pinups - still a favorite! Of my friend Gaby - who I will always admire, for her amazing sense of style, and for the work she does as a nurse! :) Who wouldn't want to be treated by her?
Pinups - Malaika
Here is one of my favorite pinups I've ever done. This is of a good friend Malaika, whom I have known since I was 6 years old!
She is one stunning lady, with a big personality - Malaika! :)
