Pinups - Malaika as Sailor Moon

Well, it was my good friend Malaika's 30th birthday not long ago. I have known this bad-ass chick since I was 6 years old. So a nostalgia present was in order.

We all watched it. Admit it. You loved it.

And here is the gang! From left to right: Iwa - as Sailor Mercury (cuz she's so smart!), Zarrin - as Sailor Mars (cuz she kicks ass and honestly scares us all), Malaika - as Moon! (work it gurl!), me as Sailor Jupiter (a nod to my awesome tom-boy life phase) and finaly Bianca - as Venus (for being so pretty and epic, and for joining the team a couple of episodes later!)

Flamingo Tire Changer

Very fun and original commission this week!

I had a very tight-deadlined request for a Flamingo Tire-Changer character from one of my returning clients, Chris. :) I managed to get it done on time, and he's happy with it, as am I! What a wacky and fun concept!

Just for fun, because I found it awesome, I am including my client's "concept sketch". :D

He had a very clear idea of what he wanted!

Here is a lovely logo project I did for Brew City Yarns a family-owned business from Milwaukee that specializes in hand-painted yarns! :)

CUPHEAD! Platformer level!

So Cuphead revealed its first Platformer level at E3! Which is SUPER exciting - BUT, more exciting for me is that some of my work is featured in this video - and I get to show it off! :D I didn't work on all the enemies, but the ones that are mine are:

The Yellow Flower Dude
Purple Flower Lobber
Little Blue Slime
Falling Acorn

And I got to work on a lot of those fun explosions, and the fire explosion created by the lobbers seeds! It's SO much fun seeing the final look of a level you were a part of! I can't wait to see the rest! Coming in 2016! We promise!

Another fun Joystick commission for Will!

This time Joanna Dark - doing a very acrobatic leg thing as per client request! :D I love her hair. That was a lot of fun to draw!

Pinups - Dark Queen from Battle Toads

Here is something different! I got approached by a cool guy called Will, who makes custom retro joysticks for consoles. Supposedly some of his clients liked my art style and he wanted to know if I would do some custom pinup illustrations of retro gaming characters for his custom designs. Of course I said yes! Here is the first result of our collaboration.
