Choosing my portfolio for life drawing. Wish the pictures were better - taken with an iphone, in low light, not ideal.
Have to choose 10! Decisions, decisions.

Pinups - Courtney
More pinup fun! Here is the lovely Courtney - who wanted a flirty pinup in pink lingerie. She was such fun to do - she looks like a pinup in real life, so this was super easy!
Love sexy pinups! This was so much fun!

Painting - Color Keys for Poochy Pouches
In digital Painting we were asked to choose 4 of our storyboard pannels to create color keys. So here are my color keys for Poochy Pouches:
Storyboard - Poochy Pouches Commercial
I'm going to post our final assignment for Storyboard - it was a commercial for dog food called "Poochy Pouches".
We had to stick to predetermined characters and script. We also had to have the action take place in 2 locations - kitchen and dinning room. We did have one area in which we had creative liscence - we were told that we can make "Ralph" (the dog) act like an actor - any actor - we chose. I decided to have my Ralph act like Sean Connery... and then a mini James Bond theme developed. So in the end, I had fun with this board! I also had fun pitching it - I got to do some fun accents.

Studies in Creativity - Creativity and Education
I was so busy with other things, that I forgot to post my little Studies in Creativity Log sketch. I actually liked this one, and the Ted Talk that inspired it was a lot of fun to listen to. It's Ken Robinson's : How School Kills Creativity. You can listen to it here:
The part of the talk that inspired me most was when Ken Robinson describes a now famous Broadway choreographer, who kept getting in trouble at school. The principal calls in her mother for a meeting at the office. After a short talk, he leaves the little girl, telling her that he has to speak to her mother in private. Before he leaves, he turns on the radio. The principal then turns to the mother, and asks her to watch. As soon as the adults leave, the little girl was on her feet, moving to the music. The principal then says: "Your child isn't sick. She's a dancer"
What is happening to all the dancers in our society now? Who instead of being allowed to move, and be creative, are fed Ritalin and told to sit still?
So here is my little Log sketch. Great Ted Talk!

FINALY, I'm done my stagecoach... first assignment in my life that I didn't finish by the deadline... But unfortunately, this thing couldn't be rushed, so I had to take some extra time to finish it right.
Here it is - the hard grueling problem that is the stagecoach.
